On the 14th of September, under the African sky and amidst the untamed beauty of Gwahumbe Game Reserve, we gathered to mark a significant milestone. Three years to the day since a devastating fire swept through our beloved main lodge, reducing it to ashes, we celebrated the triumphant re-opening of the Gwahumbe Main Lodge.

The evening was a testament to the incredible love and support that has carried us through the challenges of the past few years. Our hearts were filled with gratitude as we welcomed members of the community, suppliers, guests, family, and friends who joined us in this celebration. As the music played late into the night, new memories were etched into the fabric of our lodge, enriching its history.

The new main lodge, proudly perched atop the mountain, stands as a symbol of resilience and renewal. Its design embodies the essence of Gwahumbe, with an uncluttered interior framed by expansive glass doors that beckon your gaze outward to the untamed African bush. We wanted to ensure that the outside world was seamlessly woven into our lodge, allowing nature to remain an integral part of the Gwahumbe experience.
