Zebra Lodge

Zebra Lodge has been designed with all the creature comforts one could desire in the bush. This homestead-style, self-catered lodge is ideal for families, with plenty of space to relax and set the pace for your day. Wraparound decks provide an idyllic vantage point over the valley.

Zebra Lodge has two en suite rooms, one with an outside shower. Both open onto a deck with stunning views of the valley. The third room sleeps 3 in a quaint loft above the lounge – best-suited to children.

The lodge has its own wood-fired hot tub, wood fireplace, small plunge pool, outside covered braai area, fire pit, wraparound deck and air-conditioned rooms.

For the Family

Zebra Lodge sleeps 4 to 7 people and has two en-suite rooms (one with an outdoor shower) with superb views. A third loft room sleeps three – a cosy nook for kids or anyone who likes the view from the top.

A Local Tribute

All wooden furniture has been crafted from trees grown on the farm at Gwahumbe and the lodge includes natural stone wall features created from stones sourced from the farm – a true sense of belonging in this beautiful landscape.

Full Luxury Offering

Zebra Lodge’s amenities make it a luxurious stand-alone bush lodge at Gwahumbe, with its own plunge pool (dubbed the Gin Pool in true safari style), hot tub, and fire pit area standing out as some of the main features.

A Bush Lodge at One With the Bush

The views from Zebra Lodge extend all the way down to the dam and across the Gwahumbe Valley. The design of the bush lodge includes a wooden wraparound deck, accessible from the main suites. The view is part of the indoor landscape, with an open-plan lounge that makes the outdoors an indoor feature too. Zebra Lodge has everything you could need for a group bush retreat. The private small plunge pool and wood-fired hot tub make for total relaxation. At the end of the day, the fire pit and covered braai area with its superb champagne table are wonderful places to regroup and tell stories by firelight.
