Gwahumbe is well-known as a great spot for off-road adventure – so much so that it has become a testing site and launch location for many off-road vehicles. The reserve boasts nine kilometres of 4×4 tracks, with many routes through the reserve. With a grading of between one and three, it takes between two and four hours to complete. Trails wind up mountains and down into river valleys. Drivers explore this cross-section of scenery whilst negotiating mud, slippery grasses, river crossings, and a variety of interesting obstacles like rocks and steep inclines and declines.
